The unique selling point of our farm shop and tearoom is that it’s on a real working farm that is around Lizard Point. To engage people with the farm we have a blackboard that we update daily with what’s happening – from how many lambs are born to how the crops are doing.
On the gates around the farm we have clipboards describing the crops or animals that are in the field with at least one interesting fact. This all helps to engage the customer and starts a conversation in the tearoom, making each customers visit unique. All our staff are knowledgeable about the area we are in and the farm that we run – we have even trained one staff member to deliver farm visits so she can run her own enterprise alongside the tearoom throughout the summer giving guided meet the animal tours or pond dipping. This is great fun and brings people back to our fairly new tearoom.
